Using "Quick Cache"

What is Quick Cache?

Quick Cache is the Quick and Easy way to get going. It uses the GPS in your phone to determine your location. Then, using that location, it will find all Traditional caches that are close to you.

How To Quick Cache
Launch Geocache Navigator.
If this is your first time launching the application you will be prompted to accept the terms of use, and choose a PIN. The PIN number you choose will be used in the future to connect your phone up to your Geocaching.com account so you can easily log the caches you have found from your phone.
This screen is the Main Menu. From the main menu you can do a number of things. This tutorial is on How to Quick Cache, so that's all we'll cover here. To Quick Cache, simply press OK when you have Quick Cache selected.

Note: in this screen shot, you can see that we haven't got GPS yet, as indicated by the GPS bars in the top right. You will need to have GPS to do a Quick Cache, but if you select Quick Cache before you get GPS, it will work fine. It will just wait for your GPS then continue.
Using your cellular data network, the application will now go out and find all the caches that are around your location. This should just take a few minutes.
Once the application finishes, you will be shown a list of caches that are in your immediate area. This list will show the type, name, distance, and direction to the cache.
Select one of these caches, and you will begin navigation. You will come to a page with a compass and a number of other tabs, which you will be able to access using the left and right arrows.

Whats the next step?

Now that you've selected a cache, the next step is to use the Geocache Navigator to find it. For a tutorial on how to find a cache using the Geocache Navigator, see Finding the Geocache
