Log My Finds from the BB
I'm linked to geocaching.com and my logs from my phone show up on the geocaching web site under field notes. Then I have to manually log them to the individual cache. Is there a way to log the find directly to the cache instead of my field notes? TIA

Re: Log My Finds from the BB
The logic behind that is that most people out in the field would rather be geocaching than standing around trying to text message a log entry into the system.  Therefore you are going to see logs the like of  "Found it.  TFTC", which tend to be a bit annoying to read after a while (not only for the cache owner, but also for those of us who may be looking for clues as to what shoes to wear, whether we need to bring something to climb on, etc....).  It also keeps you from "officially" logging the cache as found and then "forgetting" to go back and edit your log later because there is no reminder of what you need to change.

Therefore it is set up so when you get back to your computer, with a decent keyboard, and are relaxed and not in a hurry to get to the next cache, you can spend some time and write a nice log about the cache you just visited.

At least that's the way I understand it, and is based on my humble opinion....  I may have just blown an hour or so of my day trying to find this cache, and I want to move on to the next one before it gets dark.  I have a notebook anyway, and jot a couple of quick notes to remind myself what I did, or if I picked up any TB, and off I go....

Your mileage may vary - you may want to take the time to log the cache now so you don't have to do it later.

One thing I will admit I DO NOT like about the situation is that when I bring the cache list up and go to filter out found it will not filter them out until I formally log them on geocaching.com.

Re: Log My Finds from the BB
Having info in field notes is fine and having to go back to the computer and officially log is fine. However I would like to have option to add info when I use Bberry to mark it found. I would like an option to type in few keywords in the field so I don't forget things when I move on. If you find many caches during the day it is hard to remember what your thoughts were at particular one and it would help if one could actually add true field notes to remind oneself in the evening when it is time to log the finds..

The iPhone GC software allows for adding notes before posting the Field Notes.  However, the BB is so much more accurate that I use it 99% of the time.  Thanks.

I second this... Using GeocacheNavigator for paperless geocaching loses a bit when you have to carry a notebook to "jot down notes". Yes, I can put my field notes into another note recording application, but one would think that with all the whiz-bang features available in this application, one would be able to actually record field notes when one presses the button that records the field note. Having a note that says "Logged from my mobile phone" isn't a useful reminder.

While some may be in a hurry to move from one cache to the next, others may want to jot down a couple quick reminder notes, while others may want to take the time to write up a complete synopsis. Flexibility is the key to creating excellent software. Give everyone the options that they want, and all are happy.
