Just load the Curve version of the software - whichever one.... The curves are normally in the 83xx series of BlackBerries...

If you go to http://www.trimbleoutdoors.com/rim/get using your BlackBerry, then select the geocache navigator trial, then just take whatever it gives you (should be 2.0.7) it should install fine. It may ask you if you want to overwrite any version that is already there - say yes. It may ask you if you want to give the application trusted status - say yes.

Then you should be good to go. Fire it up, enter your phone number and some PIN of your choosing and away you go.

tedsteam, that is the correct location and model you should be choosing. In some places the 8900 is part of the Bold family because it has the high resolution screen. In other markets, it's part of the Curve family because of the form factor. But they're the same phone.

I was originally going off some version number notes that I don't have access to right now. We'll have to double check and further look into some things. Unfortunately I won't be able to do this until Monday.

Hi Kevin

I've tried selecting a "true" Curve model but the ..../get link you recieve via email to enable it to load via the handset still installs the .15 version. Reluctantly I used the BB Desktop Manager and it loaded the .7 version (unzipped from the same email's links) - which works.  So the trial is now underway.

Thanks for your help. As I'm new to both Trimble & BBs I didn't know if it was a BB setting isssue or a Trimble software issue.
