Hi svindler, as we have written in another post, the upgrade has a number of minor enhancements and bugfixes, plus one major enhancement: Geocaches can be stored on the Nokia handset to allow Geocache Navigator use when outside of the operator's network. This also allows the use of WiFi connections to pre-load caches into the handset to lower data charges. Also, the upgrade fee will allow us to continue providing the Geocache Navigator service to users (as I mentioned in another post, Geocache Navigator is a network-aware service with ongoing data requirements, and Trimble is incurring expenses in providing it; we have provided the Geocache Navigator service free of charge on Nokia handsets for 1.5 years but this is just not feasible any more).
