I'd used the free version (with an external GPS bluetooth module obviously) with great success, but when I tried to upgrade I found my phone would not handle the JAD file that the download presents you with. I got in touch with Trimble support, and they shipped me the .JAR file directly. This installed via the Nokia PC-Suite with no problems at all.  so far everything seems to be working fine, and Im very pleased. So - to recap.  For some reason the .JAD may not work with the N73 (this may just be a quirk with my phone/network combo (O2 in the UK)) or it may be that the version of S60 the N73 runs is too old.  However, if you get hold of he .JAR file you should be able to install it via PC-Suite with no problems. Note that the N73 is not on the officially supported list, so the Trimble guys went above and beyond the call of duty for me.  Thanks a lot for that - Im a happy 'cacher again.
