GN1001 Error on Blackberry 8310
Greetings -- I recently purchased a subscription to GeoNavigator and installed the software to my Blackberry. It worked for about 2 days then sporadically started getting the following error message on the 'Details' tab:
An unexpected error occurred. (GN1001)
If this problem persists plese contact support at 1-800-773-5996
I can see a list of nearby caches fine, the compass and the maps ... but when I try to look at the Details tab I get the above error.
I had version 1.5.3 but noticed there was a newer version 2.0.5 so I uninstalled the previous one and installed the newer one and rebooted the Blackberry, but still no luck. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix it? Here are my phone details:
Blackberry 8310 Curve
AT&T
Using BES integration with work Outlook
Thanks!

Re: GN1001 Error on Blackberry 8310
Hi baddyb94102,
Normally this error occurs when you are unable to connect to the network due to a temporary data outtage through the carrier, roaming, outside of the network coverage area and/or it simply times out trying to retrieve the data. I'm sorry I can not provide you a pinpoint reasoning as to why this has occured. Another possibliliy is recent changes to your BES maybe blocking our traffic.
I would like to take this issue offline to futher troubleshoot to see what may have occured. Please forward me your contact information to: support@geocachenavigator.com.
We certainly apoloogize for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Rebecca

Re: GN1001 Error on Blackberry 8310
Greetings Rebecca, thanks for the quick response.
As it turns out this problem has mysteriously resolved itself, i.e. everything works again. I made no further changes to my Blackberry nor have I installed anything else onto it yet the GeoNavigator app appears to be performing fine once more on its own.
Thanks again for the response. Should it happen in the future I'll definitely get in touch!
Baddy
PS. I opened case #124 with you guys regarding this issue. At this point I suppose we can presume it resolved -- feel free to close it if you wish.
