How do I get the update. I am using an older version and would like to update.

Version 2.0.5 was recently released through Trimble Outdoors. The software is not automatically released through Handmark. Handmark must certify the software themselves and then they push the update to customers so a delay is experienced.

To update the software before Handmark has it available simply delete the current application and reinstall the software. Provided is a link to register for the updated software: www.trimbleoutdoors.com/rim. Even though you are downloading the trial your subscription end date through Handmark will remain the same.

If you cannot remember the original four digit PIN number you had used when activating the current software version you can create a new number. When using a new number you will need to re-link the device to your geocaching.com account. A new phone ID will also be generated. You can have multiple devices associated with one geocaching.com account.

Is the 2.0.5 update also apply to the free versions for nokia enabled gps phones? I'm still running 2.0.3 and i'm not experiencing any problems. is there any reason for me to update or is it more of a bug fix? lastly can anyone confirm (or deny) any problems updating WHILE the older version is still present as opposed to deleting the older version and doing a "clean install"

There are no major feature changes between the 2.0.5 and 2.0.3. The 2.0.5 version only includes some bug fixes. Since you don't encounter any problem with 2.0.3, there is no need to update the software. - Son Ta -
