So I spent $80 and bought a bluetooth GPS receiver puck to work with my 8830 BB. I was noticing a couple of things yesterday.
When I go to see previous logs, if someone has left a "Write Note" for a cache, it shows up on GN as "Didn't Find It." I just proved that again by writing a note on a new cache that I have not found, and it shows up on the screen that i Didn't Find it. That may be discouraging to people, thinking there are a lot of DNF's on a cache.
In the cache listings I have found that the icon next to Earth caches show up with the "Event" (quotation bubble) icon. Not the traditional little earth looking icon. Someone may think they are seeing an event cache that is coming up, or already passed but not archived.
Seems to work just fine. I have noticed that there are a couple of times that I have to start GN, shut it down, and start it up again to get it to make connection to the puck. That just may be the puck itself though. For reference, I am using the iTrek M5+ Bluetooth receiver.
