I encountered a problem today that saw Geo Navigator software failing to recognise the internal gps module on my N95.
After various program closures and power resets, my day cacheing was cut short
The only way I could get it to reset was to do a soft reset. ie type in *#7780# (default password is 12345). Bing working again.
Hope this helps someone with the same problem but Note this soft reset will set profiles, themes and softkeys back to original.
All other phone data like contacts, bookmarks, and settings will be unchanged.
Maybe someone can report a better way of resetting the GPS, but this is the only way I have found thus far.
Peace
I had a similar problem on my Nokia 6220 Classic.
I turned bluetooth of and then it worked perfect.

Devices such as the N95, N82, and 6110 have built-in GPS. To enable the built-in GPS, please follow these steps:
Please note that the text varies slightly from language to language but the process is the same. Once you have completed the above steps, run Geocache Navigator outdoors with a good view of the sky. If all is working well you should get a GPS signal in under two minutes.
