connecting with illimythics SFR Vodafone live
Hello,

I have a Nokia N95 8Go, GPS works fine. But connecting is a problem.
And, i made my own search. My data connection "Illimythics SFR" is a locked data access to :
- Trafic allowed is only HTTP or HTTPS
- The connexion must support a proxy configuration
- The HTTP Request of the user agent must be compatible (in my phone IE and MiniOpera works)

Does it explain why i can't connect by this network to receive caches or maps ?

I am a developper, then, if you doesn't use HTTP queries, i know you can make HTTP binding.
If you need my help for testing, i am ready to help us.

Another solution is to make tcpforwarding a show if it works, but there is the domain name problems.
If it can be modified, i can redirect it to a personal domain name and make the tcp forwarding if i know the ports useds.

I'm a little confused about what you're trying to do exactly, but I can tell you that we are using tcp sockets (not http).

Re: connecting with illimythics SFR Vodafone live
Hello bob,

Ok, your are using tcp sockets, but wath is the port number ?
My phone is a N95 and i have the "illimythics SFR". It is an illimited french data transfert offer, but this offer is locked on HTTP queries (locked on port 80).
When your program is attempting to connect, it can't (because it is using tcp connection).
A solution to avoid this problem is to use the 80 port.
The second solution (if this solution doesn't work) is to use an HTTP biding solution.

For example, the Fing program installed on my phone can only work with wifi connection (wifi as full data protocol available).
But, with the "SFR Vodafone live" connection, it is not possible to connect it because it is using TCP ports (not 80 and not HTTP).
Another messenger, for example "talkonaut", use HTTP protocol to connect and it is working.

Is it possible to think a similar solution ? It will be very helpfull.
You can say this for your program : "If you can surf, our program will works"
If you need help i am developper, than i can make code.
